Classical Theism- What it is and Why it Matters
To start out, can you provide us with a simple definition of classical theism?
We interact with this by asking what particularly makes this a classical view. Josh talks about the main players in church history that helped develop this doctrine
What is it particularly that makes you so passionate about this doctrine/concept?
We talk further, Is this a novelty concept of doctrinal studies, or should everyone engage with this doctrine, since it relates to God?
How do you see contemporary Christianity interacting with this doctrine? i.e. is it possible to be both contemporary and classical in our doctrine of God?
We think it would be interesting to direct our discussion to at least touch on open theism and other contemporary attempts to understand God
For someone that wants to study this further, what resources and books would you recommend?
